holy moly! has it really been two weeks between postings? i attribute the lack of information to general holiday craziness and too much to do!

alix was the baby jesus in the norwich christmas pageant. she performed beautifully-fell asleep in mary's arms just before the barn door was opend by the wise men to reveal joseph, mary and jesus. and this was just after i discovered she had a bottom tooth coming in. she is the most mellow baby on the face of the earth, even while cutting teeth.

rory is getting more and more excited for christmas. i haven't put any of the gifts under the tree for fear of little fingers trying to see what's inside. plus it will make the pile of loot seem more dramatic on christmas morning. she has been saying she wants santa to bring her a toy cash register, which i may have to run out and get so she knows 'santa' is listening. other than that, we're having a pretty low key (read: only a couple of presents from 'santa') christmas while we still can. won't be able to play that game much longer. plus she still gets loot from the aunties, grandparents and michael and zia.

i have crossed doing holiday cards off my list this year. it was just a big big project that i'd have to do after the holidays (since we've taken to doing new years cards since rory was born) and i was a little stressed about it because of time and money. i can't tell you how relieved i felt once i decided it wasn't worth the stress to me. phew.

in other news, it is TEN DEGREES BELOW ZERO this morning. the high is supposed to be a balmy 20.
