has it really been three weeks?

i guess it has. life moves too quickly these days.

we're gearing up for the big five-oh for brian. we've only got a week left until the proposed party date-he better get me his guest soon.

alix is a walking fiend, trying her hand a running too. really, she only ends up walking faster but it's awfully cute to watch. she's a real communicator too, not with words but with the few ASL signs she knows. it's so great to be able to 'talk' with her now.

rory's vocabulary grows by the minute. it's frightening really. we also had the first instance of her yelling at characters on tv the other night. during a hide and go seek game on a maisy video, she tried to help maisy and tallulah find charlie, who was right behind them. rory yelled at the top of her little lungs "he's right behind you! turn around maisy!" it was one of the funniest things i've ever experienced.

we've made our reservations for the trip to CA in november for antie jojo and uncle kenny's wedding-it's going to be a whirlwind of a trip. wedding in SF, carmel, back to SF, with the chance for an early thanksgiving dinner in healdsburg too if we can squeeze it in. YIKES! thank god we'll be in the land of peets coffee.
