okay people, this will give you some idea of the cold we're experiencing:

yesterday, we were all running late. when i went out to the car i was carrying rory and my hot coffee in a thermal mug. i set the thermal mug on top of the car and put rory in her car seat, ran around to the driver's side hopped in and off we went. so, as i'm sure you've already guessed, the coffee mug is still on top of the car, fell over as i turned out of the driveway and spilled all over both sides of the car. i kid you not, that formerly hot coffee FROZE to the side of the car in about 10-15 seconds.

now we have strange vertical brown racing stripes on the sides of our white car. and we have to wait until at least sunday or monday until it will be warm enough to actually be able to wash the car without encasing it in ice.

oh, and yesterday when i was getting gas for the car, i was trying to wash some of the coffee off the windows and by the time i had managed to somewhat wash 3 windows, my fingers were stiff and numb. and that was while wearing gloves.

plus, if i can't do some sort of aerobic exercise in the next couple of days, i'm going to go postal. it may be time to dig out the tae bo tapes.
