oy.
yesterday, i was tidying up our bedroom in an effort to get it somewhat organized and neat before i head back to work next week. we found out a weld on one of our new baseboard heating units has been leaking for god knows how long. warped floor boards, bubbling paint on baseboards, and mildew and spots on the ceiling of the living room below. brian is sooooooo mad. so he's going to take it up with the plumbers that installed the heater. and it's not going to be pretty.
alix is growing out of some of the newborn stuff already, and wearing a few 3-6 month clothes now. our pediatrician said that fussiness would reach it's peak at around 6 weeks (which would be sunday) and so far, she's not that fussy. PHEW! and she sleeps better at night than rory ever did. hope i don't eat my words farther down the line.
rory has a new friend on the street behind us. a family with 2 kids-elizabeth (4 yrs) and reese (17 months) moved in not too long ago and rory and elizabeth seem to enjoy playing and riding bikes together. it's good for her to have someone to play with. plus alice is getting older and more communicative every day, which is great. rory LOVES to play in alice's kiddie pool, which is conveniently covered by a screen tent to keep out bugs so they don't get eaten alive.
as mentioned above, i'm back to work next week. i'm trying to work 3 (as opposed to 4) days a week until alix starts daycare. good for me i think as i could get pretty used to staying home all the time...
